1962 Gibson Skylark EH-500 Lap Steel & Matching GA-5 Amp.
The lap Korina (African limba wood) in natural finish, slant mounted pickup, black fingerboard with cream open block markers and numbers, three-on-a-plate Kluson Deluxe tuners with black plastic buttons, chromed metal parts and chromed raised Gibson logo on headstock. 1oo% original and killer condition. One small chip from the back edge of the body at the bridge end, and a few light marks on the rear of the body, but an easy 9.5/10. Comes in the original Gibson hardcase. The case slightly rubbed at the leather corners but in excellent condition.
The amp recently serviced by Paul Pallister - the Amp Doctor, with 3 capacitors and the 6V6 power valve replaced and a new power cord with earthed 3 pin plug fitted, else all original. Slight loss to the applied lettering on the chrome face plate otherwise in matching killer condition - sounds great too. 120v. U.S. power, so a step-down required for local use.
This a 'one careful lady owner from new' lap & amp set in collector's condition. Comes with the original Gibson instruction sheet/schematic for the amp plus receipts for the previous owner's 1963 music lessons.
