1954 Gretsch Electromatic. When I bought this it was 100% original but sounded pretty dreadful. After a complete rebuild by Paul Pallister - the Amp Doctor, it's now no longer all original but sounds super. All the caps and resisters replaced with quality replacements - Sprague Orange Drops etc., new Jensen 10" blue alnico speaker, new output transformer, a complete revalve and the power cable replaced with a modern earthed 3 pin. This is US 120v., so a stepdown transformer required for local use. The slightest trace of wear to the tweed at bottom corners, and some insect damage to the tweed underneath the back panel (see rear view in more pictures) just affecting a small spot on the bottom edge, and a workman-like wire & tape reinforcement to the leather handle. Comes with the original canvas cover, which is a little stained and worn and split at edges. Overall in excellent condition. About 10w. output from the two 6v6's.It sounds great - a fairly clean sound for a tweed with excellent valve tone, and good volume for a small amp. On sale - reduced to $1,295
